A New Way to “Field Day”

The Jacob’s Ladder Climber family was FINALLY able to come together for a “Field Day” at the Watermen’s Museum, in Yorktown, VA.

Jacob’s Ladder staff, RA’s, families, and Climbers gathered for a full day of food, fellowship, and fun under a warm, July sun. Relay races, beach seining, team building, and writing welcome letters to soon-to-be new Climbers filled out the time.

Social Distancing was the order of the day, with Climbers each carrying a hula hoop to help in maintaining adequate distance apart (despite the overwhelming urge to reconnect with their Climber brothers and sisters).

About 75 people came in for the event from as far away as Waynesboro to celebrate our gifts, our friendships, and our responsibilities to the future.
